Workshop - Organic Gardening Weekend
Based around the vegetable garden this is a hands-on learning experience so you will need to bring gardening gloves, work clothes, and gardening boots or shoes. We could be turning compost, fertilising, weeding, sowing, and/or planting - depending on the season.
All food is included, with most being harvested from the garden and surroundings.
No experience is necessary.
Workshop – Preserving Weekend
This is a basic hands-on weekend learning how to make jams, chutneys, pesto, and bottling fruit. As most of the produce that’s grown on the land is ripe towards the end of summer, we usually run this workshop at the end of March. We have figs, citrus fruit, apples, pears, peaches, plums, and blackberries. Book early to secure your place on this popular weekend.

Use of the Retreat Venue
We welcome inquiries from people interested in running other workshops or events at the Retreat. We have had a number of organisations use the facilities including Youthline, Rainbow Youth, and Regeneration Trust. Selection criteria include a mix of supporting those helping others; a young adult focus; creating community awareness of the retreat; and alignment with our core values; that workshops are free of charge; and availability of our volunteers to support.
We provide meals and co-ordinate housekeeping leaving you to focus on looking after the needs of your group.
Accommodation, food, and workshops are provided free of charge.
